Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: April 29, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to America Visualized. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of americavisualized.com and all associated features, including the community platform, discussion forums, and the Vision Board (collectively, the “Site”). The Site is owned and operated by America Visualized LLC, a Michigan limited liability company (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. About America Visualized
America Visualized is a civic media project dedicated to exploring and presenting data, stories, and community perspectives about life in America. Our platform includes editorial content, a community discussion space powered by PeepSo, and a public Vision Board where visitors can submit and react to visions for America’s future.
3. User Accounts and Membership Tiers
The Site offers the following levels of access:
Tier 1 — Public (No Account Required)
Visitors without an account may:
- Browse public content and editorial posts
- View the Vision Board
- Submit anonymous visions to the Vision Board
- React to Vision Board submissions
Anonymous Vision Board submissions are subject to moderation before publication. By submitting, you grant America Visualized LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, share, and republish your submission on the Site and associated social media channels.
Tier 2 — Registered Member (Free Account)
Registered members with a verified account may access all Tier 1 features plus:
- Participate in community discussions and comment threads
- Create a community profile
- Interact with other members through the PeepSo community platform
To create an account, you must provide a valid email address and agree to these Terms. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Tier 3 — Full Community Member (Paid or Invited)
Full community members access all features of the PeepSo-powered community platform, including extended social features, as made available from time to time. Details of paid membership, if applicable, will be presented at the time of signup.
4. Community Conduct
By participating in discussions, the community platform, or the Vision Board, you agree not to post content that:
- Is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, threatening, or abusive
- Infringes on any third-party intellectual property rights
- Contains spam, advertising, or unsolicited promotional material
- Impersonates any person or entity
- Contains malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Violates any applicable local, state, federal, or international law
We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.
5. Vision Board
The Vision Board is a public feature that allows visitors and members to submit visions, ideas, and perspectives about America’s future. By submitting content to the Vision Board, you:
- Represent that you own or have the right to submit the content
- Grant America Visualized LLC a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and share your submission
- Understand that submissions are subject to moderation and may be edited for length, clarity, or appropriateness before publication
- Acknowledge that anonymous submissions do not create any expectation of privacy regarding the submitted content itself
We do not claim ownership of your submitted content. You retain any rights you held prior to submission.
6. PeepSo Community Platform
Registered members access community features through PeepSo, a third-party community software platform. Your use of community features is subject to both these Terms and PeepSo’s own terms of service. We are not responsible for PeepSo’s data practices beyond what is described in our Privacy Policy.
Community profiles, posts, reactions, and interactions are visible to other registered members unless otherwise noted. You should not share sensitive personal information in community spaces.
7. Intellectual Property
All editorial content, graphics, data visualizations, branding, and site design are the property of America Visualized LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Site content without our express written permission.
User-submitted content remains the property of the submitting user, subject to the license granted in Section 5 above.
8. Privacy
Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Site, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimers
The Site and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. America Visualized LLC does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
Editorial content and community submissions represent the views of their respective authors and do not constitute legal, financial, or professional advice.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, America Visualized LLC and its members, managers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Michigan, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
12. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
